Purpose:

A showcase of the hand knitted items made by Elfie. Finished items are offered for sale from stock in addition to allowing the online creation of bespoke items that are made-to-measure.
Full PayPal IPN integration allows the client to accept credit card payments for all orders without the need for a dedicated merchant account.

A custom backend processing system allows for rapid order retrieval and automated stock control of sold stock items and raw materials required for bespoke items.

Purpose:

A company and portfolio showcase for a new product design company based in Cornwall. The specification specifically excluded the use of Flash so a very creative CSS and DHTML solution was called for. The client provided Illustrator files for the design of the site which then had to be carefully converted into a format suitable for web use.
The site required a showcase for their products which needed to be available to purchase for both domestic and international orders and automatically calculates delivery charges from a vast array of shipping options based on the size, weight and destination of the basket contents. The use of PayPal to accept credit cards was also specified by the client to complete the online shopping experience.

Content Management: A custom MySQL and AJAX based Content Management System was developed to provide the client with the ability to update and manage all aspects of the site including the text, image and product placement across the entire site.
